SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - FOX 2's Woody Woodriffe was joined by Sean Baligian & John Niyo Sunday night on the SportsWorks roundtable as they talked about another crazy comeback win for the Lions. They talked about on if this team has turned a corner after winning all five games with fourth quarter comebacks, how their running game is helping them win and how they could be healthier coming out of the bye week. They also talked about if the Lions are a playoff contender or not.
The crew then moved on to Michigan's win over Maryland and how the offense has caught up to their defense. They talked how Wilton Speight is getting better week to week and if Michigan should be thought of a National Championship contender.
They then moved on to Michigan State and if the Spartans are in trouble for years to come. They talked about if the collapse this year is complete, what the biggest issues are for them and if some coaches might not be returning next season.
The guys then broke down the Red Wings and how they are winless in their last five games. They brought up how this is the real Red Wings team and the one that everyone expected to see this season. They also spoke how the playoff streak is in jeopardy and the defensive struggles.
The Pistons were next on the rundown and how they are "doing a pretty good job" at "treading water" without Reggie Jackson. How they have talent and can bounce back after bad losses. They also spoke how Reggie Jackson is starting to do "basketball activities" on Monday.
They also talked about the Tigers and the Cameron Maybin trade. They spoke how this team is starting to cut payroll, how it's the "wrong attitude" and how they would've paid Maybin instead of trading him.
Lions Game Night then came on where they did a full break down on the Lions' win Sunday and what they need to do to stay on track during the bye week.
