SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - FOX 2's Woody Woodriffe was joined by Sean Baligian & John Niyo Sunday night on the SportsWorks roundtable to talk Lions and their last second loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The panel gave their thoughts on the call and if Golden Tate was definitely down or not. Woody asked them if this was a moral victory or not and they talked how this is a tough pill to swallow.
Michigan State was next on the docket and the guys talked about the Spartans tough loss to Notre Dame on Saturday. The crew talked how Michigan State once again had a tough time overcoming mistakes. Woody pointed out they had two weeks to prepare for Notre Dame and put up that performance.
Michigan was next and the guys talked how John O'Korn came in and led the Wolverines to victory. Sean talked how you can't dismiss this win against Purdue. John brought up how Michigan's defense is now validated after Saturday's game.
Next on the rundown were the Detroit Tigers and the decision not to retain Brad Ausmus after the season. They talked how Brad said he would turn down the deal if he was even given the chance to return. They also talked about what names could be out there to replace Ausmus.
The Red Wings were next and the crew talked about the youth on the team and who you can build a team around. They also talked about Dylan Larkin and how he has a big season ahead of him.
Lions Game Night then came on as the crew went more in depth into the Lions loss to the Atlanta Falcons Sunday and helped preview next week's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
