SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - FOX 2's Woody Woodriffe was joined by Sean Baligian & Pat Caputo Sunday night on the SportsWorks roundtable as they talked about the Lions' big win in New Orleans Sunday. They talked how the Lions just went in and beat the Saints. How defensively and offensively they played terrific while Matthew Stafford continues his hot play. Sean notes that the Lions defense was in Drew Brees' face all day and kept him out of sync.
The crew moved on to the College Football Playoff and if Michigan got the short end of the stick or not. They broke down the Michigan vs. Florida State game and how "it's a great match-up." Pat says "I hate it" and how its an "embarrassment" when talking about the College Football Playoff and the solution would be a larger playoff. They also talked about Western Michigan's match-up against Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl and then they moved on to talk about Eastern and Central Michigan's bowl match-ups.
The guys moved on to the Red Wings and talked how they've been so up and down lately. They talked how the Red Wings' rely on goaltending and when they give up three goals or more the majority of times, they won't have success. They also talked more how defense is the biggest key to the Red Wings.
They then moved to the Pistons and their success on the road, but also have been up and down all season. They talked about the addition of Reggie Jackson and how it might of thrown them off Sunday. Pat says they are better than .500 talent and how it's a "disappointing start" and they both talked how they "expected more."
Lions Game Night then came on where they did a full break down on the Lions' win Sunday and what they need to do to keep up against the Bears Sunday.
