WATCH: Ben Wallace Talks Jersey Retirment

Former Detroit Pistons' center Ben Wallace will have his jersey retired Saturday at The Palace during halftime of the Pistons vs. Warriors game.  Wallace played nine season's with the Pistons and won NBA Defensive Player of the Year and was an NBA All-Star four times, while also being a key ingredient to the Pistons NBA Championship in 2004 and two Eastern Conference titles.  He is the Pistons' leader in regular season and playoff blocks and rebounds.

Rasheed Wallace, Chauncey Billups (who will have his jersey retired in February) & Richard Hamilton are among many former Pistons' returning to The Palace to watch Wallace's jersey be raised to the roof Saturday.  

“Our franchise has an extraordinary history and it’s important that we recognize the players who not only achieved great things, but also helped define what it means to be a Piston,” said Pistons Owner Tom Gores in press release.  “Chauncey Billups and Ben Wallace are legends in Detroit and we are excited to honor their success.”
