(WJBK) - Round two of winter weather is on the way.
Snow moves back into the area by 1 p.m. and will start to accumulate by the later afternoon. Some sleet may mix in in our southern counties, such as Lenawee and Monroe, but then all will change over to snow by 5 p.m.
Snow totals will depend on where you live. Lenawee and Monroe counties to the south can expect less, around 2-4''. The metro Detroit area will see 4-6'' around Washtenaw, Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. More north will see 6-8'' around Lapeer and St. Clair. Areas north and west will see more accumulation.
Yes, enough snow to get the shovels and snow blowers back out!
Expect a sloppy and slippery evening commute home as roads will be snow-covered.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 11 p.m. for Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair and Lapeer. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 11 p.m. for Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe.
The snow should come to an end by midnight. Stay with the FOX 2 Weather Authorities for forecast updates, and the latest on school closings.
