Cold and brisk temps for your Thanksgiving weekend

Metro Detroit is in a bit of a cold slump right now, and don't expect it to lift in time for the holiday.

We don't have any snow on the radar but this will be the coldest Thanksgiving we've had in a while. Thursday's temps will be in the 20s for most of the day, with high temps barely sneaking into the 30s depending where you live. Bundle up if you're heading downtown for the parade or for the Lions game. Early-morning lows will probably be in the teens, even.

Whether you're shopping or decorating the rest of your weekend, the temps will slowly but surely warm their way up. Temps will break back into the 40s Friday into Saturday, but some precipitation is on its way, too. Expect some rain throughout your Saturday.

Sunday will be dry, though, and the warmest day we've had in a while -- making it the best day to put up those Christmas lights. Temps are expected in the mid 40s.
