(WJBK) - Depending on what your weekend plans are, prepare for rain.
A slow moving Low pressure system approaching from the west will bring rain to the area starting Friday evening. Expect periods of heavy rain, possibly severe, accompanied by gusty winds.
At this hour, gusty winds out of the southeast have prompted a Lakeshore Flood Advisory for Wayne and Monroe counties. The southeast wind helps to lift the water onshore, resulting in higher waves along shore bringing the potential for flooding. Swimming along those shorelines could be dangerous. The Lakeshore Flood Advisory expires at 4 a.m. Saturday.
Friday we'll see an overnight low of 68. Then things will be a bit cooler this weekend, too.
Saturday we'll see a high of 79, with a low of 67. Sunday's high will be 80 with a low of 65.
Keep an eye on the radar throughout the weekend with your FOX 2 Weather App.
Sunday the showers will linger for a bit, but diminished towards the southeast throughout the day.
We'll get dryer and warmer as we get into next week, with lows in the mid to upper 80s.
