Large fire breaks out at National RV in western Wayne County

Crews from several fire departments were on scene battling a large blaze at National RV in Van Buren Township on Saturday evening.

No one was hurt in the fire, according to the Van Buren Township Fire Department.

Van Buren Township Fire Chief David McInally said there were 7 motor homes inside the building, and a few others outside the building that were damaged. Some of the motor homes had propane tanks that exploded, but the chief said that was minor and was handled quickly.

McInally said the fire started just before 5 p.m. and was knocked out in about two hours.

No official cause of the fire was available right away Saturday.
