Man shot and killed inside his home on Detroit's east side

A 36-year-old man was shot to death on Detroit's east side Thursday afternoon.

The victim was gunned down inside of his home in the 4100 block of Three Mile Drive near Wavenly at 1:30 p.m. The man was found face down in his living room, but it is unclear if someone had forced their way inside or if he knew his attacker.

"It's unbelievable," said his cousin Cassandra Davis. "That's everybody's favorite cousin. He loved the kids, anything you asked him for, he would give it to you. He would give you his last.

"He loved to crack jokes, everybody knew he was a good guy."

The victim is survived by his two young sons, who thankfully were not home at the time. Police are not sure if there were one or more suspects responsible.
