DETROIT (WJBK) - Tweets and statements of love and sympathies are pouring in after Aretha Franklin's death in Detroit Thursday. She died at her home at 9:50 a.m. Her family says the cause was advanced pancreatic cancer.
"In one of the darkest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our heart. We have lost the matriarch and rock of our family," her family said in a statement.
