Michigan Science Center to host free day to celebrate Earth Day

The Michigan Science center will be free for all visitors this Saturday to celebrate Earth Day thanks to donations from an automobile supplier.

Free admission is this Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Michigan Science Center (MiSci) in Detroit. It's a celebration of Earth Day and is being sponsored bey DENSO, a mobility supplier.

MiSci's free admission day includes access to over 250 hands-on exhibits, live stage shows, the Smithsonian's Spark!Lab, Kids Town gallery, STEM Playground, and Space gallery.

Also included, because it's Earth Day, are stomp rockets, pocket solar system, static electricity and more.

It's also the grand opening of Global Soundscapes in the Toyota Engineering 4D Theater. Global Soundscapes is an ear-opening journey into the science of sound.

All of that is free, thanks to DENSO's sponsorship.
