100.3 WNIC says the Christmas music will start this week

Radio station 100.3 WNIC made the holiday announcement everyone's been waiting for -- morning show host Jay Towers confirmed today their 24/7 Christmas music will begin on Thursday, November 9, 2017.

If you're looking at a calendar, you'll notice that's exactly two weeks before Thanksgiving.

Contrary to popular belief, the radio station doesn't start its Christmas music the day after Halloween.

Jay Towers joined us on The Nine last week to set the record straight after his Facebook page was being flooded with complaints.

"I went back and looked as far as, I think, 2005. I've seen November 2; I've seen it go as far as I think November 14. It's just when it feels right," he told us. "Our boss Tony just comes in and says, 'I think today we're going to do it.'"

As mentioned, that day this year will be Thursday!
