Police: Man found in Walled Lake dead by apparent suicide

WALLED LAKE, Mich. (WJBK) - A body was recovered in Walled Lake Wednesday afternoon near Mercer Beach.

Walled Lake police said the man appeared to have died by an apparent suicide. The man, a resident of Walled Lake, had been missing since Sunday. 

Police are still investigating the man's death, but the preliminary investigation shows suicide.

The police and fire departments are in the process of recovering the body, which was discovered by a boater at about 3:45 p.m.

Police say it appears the body had been in the water for a couple days.
