Man found dead outside of Detroit's El Capri Lounge

Usually going door-to-door passing out Crime Stoppers flyers, Hassan Williams never imagined his brother's photo would be on a Crime Stoppers poster.

Early Monday morning Hassan says his brother, 40-year-old Daniel Williams, had been at his usual hangout, the Detroit's El Capri Lounge on East Grand Boulevard and Mount Elliot on the city's east side where he stepped outside to take a phone call and was shot.

"We see it every single day. Did I think it would touch home for me? No," said Hassan.

Hassan says his brother was shot in the head and several more times in his torso before the shooter or shooters took off.

"To have him laying on the ground bleeding with holes in his body from a senseless cowardly act, it is too much murdering out here of innocent people," said Hassan.

Hassan says right now he's unsure why his brother appears to have been targeted.

"Firetrucks came out here and washed my brother's blood off the sidewalk, it kind of hit me, that's my brother's blood," said Hassan.

This brother, father of three, gone and for Hassan, no reason is good enough.

Hassan, refuses to sleep or stop searching until the person or persons who killed his brother are caught.

"I don't want any street justice or anything. I wanna look in their faces and see them in court. I got a message for them," said Hassan.
