HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. (WJBK) - A man in a wheelchair was left seriously hurt on the side of a road after he was hit by a car overnight.
Police are hoping to talk to anyone who may have witnessed the accident, because the driver took off.
Police were called 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to Woodward and Ford Street in Highland Park, which is just south of Manchester. Police say a man in his 50s in a wheelchair was trying to cross the street when he was hit. The man is in serious condition at the hospital right now.
Police don't have a description of the driver nor the car at this time. They're looking at surveillance video in the area to see if they can get any more information.
In the meantime, police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything to give them a call.
