While Tom Borne and his wife slept in their Brownstown home off Sibley near Allen Road his wheels were stripped.

“Came out to go to work this morning and the car was up on blocks,” Borne said.

“you feel violated,” he said.

His 20 inch rims costing 800-dollars a-piece, were gone.

Fox 2: “You guys were here last night; did you hear anything?

“Nope,” Borne said.

They even used brick pavers from a neighbor’s yard to prop up Tom's tire-less Acadia Denali.

“Yeah this is pretty quiet, pretty safe we thought, but things change,” he said.

This is a second time they've targeted this neighborhood for wheels this month. Tom's security cameras caught a glimpse of the getaway car but the angle isn't great.

“They must have loaded up and just left, so they knew what they were doing,” he said.

Some advice from Tom get yourself some wheel locks. They are worth the investment because it can keep your tires from getting stolen.

Fox 2: “What would you say to these guys?”

“I don't think I would say anything to them it's what I would like to do to them, but you can’t do anything because then I’d be in trouble and they’d still be doing what they do,” he said.

He's adding two more cameras to the outside of his house and he plans to keep the lights on all night.

There's not much hope for getting his wheels back, but police tell FOX 2 they're investigating.

“These guys are so slick they do this and if they get caught they get probation and they are back on the streets doing it again,” Borne said.
