Man with yellowed eyes, buck teeth wanted for armed robbery of Detroit USPS delivery driver

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is looking for a man wanted for the armed robbery at a USPS facility on August 24th.

Around 4 that morning, a man walked up to a driver and tried to hijack the delivery truck outside the Post Office on Joy Road in Detroit.

Investigators say the victim was an Amazon employee who was on site dropping packages off to USPS. The suspect demanded the driver's property and keys.

"Hhe said no and the suspect fled with the keys and victim's property," US Postal Inspector Heather Davis said.

The inspection service said the hijacking was not successful but he did rob the driver of truck keys and personal property.

He's described as a black man in his 20s with closely braided hair, wearing a black hat, hoodie, dark jeans and dark shoes with a black revolver. The description also lists him as about 5'8", with 'buck teeth' and the white part of his eyes were described as being yellowed.

The man got away and into a waiting gray or silver Honda Civic between 2000 or 2005 and the getaway driver drove off from the scene.

Investigators want the suspects to know they are take this crime seriously and they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent if the law

"The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is a federal agency and we will seek federal prosecution. We take very seriously," Davis said.
