The Michigan State Police Department said Thursday afternoon that investigators are on the scene of a double murder in Inkster.

According to a spokesman for the MSP, they were called to the home in the 3700 block of Fox Street around 3 p.m. Thursday where they found two people dead.

The home is just west of Middle Belt between Michigan Ave and Annapolis Avenue in Inkster. Police have Fox closed between Frazier and Carlysle Street.

MSP has taken the lead on the investigation and police seem to be focused on an SUV parked in front of the home.

MSP and Inkster Police both say the deaths are believed to be drug-related. Suspect information is not known at this time.

Neighbors believe it's a man and wife who were shot and killed inside the home.

"When I found that the people were shot inside the house, I knew exactly who they were. It was very sad, people were crying all over the place," an unnamed neighbor said.

Police have not released circumstances of their deaths
