Police are investigating what they are calling a suspicious death at Body Zone Detroit,

Body Zone according to its Facebook page is a private membership club for men only located on the corner of McNichols and the I-75 northbound service drive.

According to police a 54-year old man was found dead inside the club Sunday morning wearing nothing but a mask.

The Body Zone is supposed to be open 24 hours a day and FOX 2 was told the owner of the club would talk when he got in at 4:30 but a short time after, all the cars left the parking lot and they closed the gates and blocked them with a dumpster.

Someone from the club did speak to a FOX 2 photographer Sunday but he had very little to say.

"He was found in a room in the building and we called police, one of our cleaners found him," he said.

Police say it appears the man was at the club on his own volition and they say there was no drug paraphernalia near his body.

A woman who lives behind the Body Zone says it is a very discreet place.

"You’re never going to see nothing, no music, no wild people, they go in, get out, shut the door and they are in the club," she said.

Authorities have not released the name of the man who died in the club.
