No alcohol found in system of I-275 wrong-way driver who caused fatal crash

Blood test results reveal there was not alcohol in the system of a man responsible for a wrong-way, double-fatal crash on I-275 in Canton.

According to Michigan State Police the 59-year-old driver of an SUV smashed into the car of Nicholas Perry and his fiancé Shannon McIntyre, who were killed instantly.

MSP Lt. Michael Shaw said that investigators are still waiting for results from tests for narcotics and other substances.

The tragic crash happened Dec. 12 in the northbound lanes of I-275 near Michigan Avenue.

The suspect, Michael Stack, is a village councilman in Wolverine Lake. Police were waiting on the toxicology results before any charges would be filed.
