A security guard and a woman are dead after gunfire erupted at a senior living apartment complex. Investigators are still searching for the suspect Wednesday morning.

We're told police are looking for 69-year-old James Fleming, who is about 6 feet 6 inches tall with a very slim build. He has short gray hair and was wearing all black at the time of the shooting.

Detroit Police will hold a press conference to discuss the shooting around 10:45 Wednesday morning. Watch it on FOX 2 News Now.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Phillip C. Sims Senior Apartments on Dickerson Avenue, near Jefferson.

Police say a 30-year-old woman was threatened by a man she was visiting. That man left the building and came back with a gun, fired several shots and killed two people. Those who were hit were a security guard in his 50s and a 66-year-old woman, whom family has identified to us as Bernice Clark.

Police believe the suspect left the complex in a dark blue 2001 Chrysler Town and Country, with the license plate 2E58Y0.

If you think you've seen the suspect or know anything about the shooting, you're asked to call Detroit Police.
