Traffic: Slow-going for drivers Thursday morning after snowfall

Hundreds of schools and even entire districts are closed Thursday after Wednesday's snowfall. Expect a slow and possibly slippery commute Thursday morning. Check a live traffic map before you leave the house at www.fox2detroit.com/traffic.

Wednesday's snowfall left most of southeast Michigan with 6 to 8 inches. Some areas saw more, such as northern Oakland County where Clarkston and White Lake saw more than 8.5".

The Northville area got around 7", and snow totals were less the further sound we go. The Adrian area saw 4" and Monroe saw 3". The read in Romulus was 6.3".

Temperatures will be cold throughout the rest of the week, with some light snow possible on Saturday. Beginning next week, we'll see temperatures get back up in the 30s.
