Woman shoots and kills coworker at Burlington in Taylor, police say

TAYLOR, Mich. (WJBK) - An employee at a Burlington store in Taylor shot and killed her coworker early Monday morning.

Police say the shooting took place around 7 a.m. at the store on Eureka Road.

They say a female worker shot and killed another female employee. The motive is not yet known.

Police say the shooter is in custody.

Rebecca Gilezan says she works nearby and that she's met the victim.

"I wouldn't really think that anything like this would happen to her," she said. "It's devastating. This is where we work. People live around here and now people can't even come shop because they're afraid."
