It was always known that both Michigan and Michigan State would make the NCAA tournament, now it's official as both teams received #3 seeds for the big dance, but only MSU will play in Detroit.

MSU will play Bucknell on Friday at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The Spartans were always assumed to make the tournament but the decision of where was up in the air until the selection show on Sunday.

Meanwhile, fans in Ann Arbor will have to travel to Wichita to watch the Wolverines play. They'll open  against Montana on Thursday.

Michigan won the conference championship last week in New York, which included win over MSU.

The Spartans went 29-4, with two losses coming to Michigan, while the Wolverines went 28-7 overall.
