Reading Month Book Drive at Children's Hospital of Michigan

March is National Reading Month and there's a special initiative underway to keep young patients at Children's Hospital of Michigan reading.

The month-long book drive was initiated by LittleGuide Detroit, a recently launched free online resource for families to discover kid-friendly events, classes and activities in Detroit and surrounding communities.

The organization is partnering with the hospital to collect roughly 500 books for kids of all ages to use while undergoing treatment.

Kerry Doman, founder of LittleGuide Detroit, dropped by the Fox2 News studios Sunday morning to discuss the effort. Watch the video above and click here for more information on how to help.
