A sad ending to the search for 15-year-old Nathaniel Bishop, after a day of searching police found his body in a wooded area in Chesterfield Township Saturday afternoon.

Chesterfield Police tell FOX 2 they don’t suspect foul play in Bishop’s death.

His family says he died of an apparent suicide.

The sophomore at L’Anse Creuse High School hadn’t been seen or heard from in more than two weeks after he left home on his bicycle.

Police started their search this week with K9s and drones in northern Chesterfield Township…they came up with nothing.

Then Saturday police searched on foot, knocking on doors and passing out his picture. That search led them to a wooded area where they found his body.

His mother Mary Bishop was too distraught to go on camera but says she is thankful for all of the community’s help. This is what she told us in an earlier interview on her sons disappearance.

“I thank all of the community support that we have gotten it means a lot. They came out from all over.”
