A man walked in to the Huntington bank at 10 Mile and Schoenherr Wednesday morning and said he wanted to open a checking account.

He then threw gasoline on the teller, demanded money and threatened to set her on fire.  Terrified - she ran into another room. A manager gave him the money and he took off on foot.

The bank robber was definitely trying to conceal his identity.

"Pretty bizarre when it comes to spraying a teller with gasoline and threatening to set her on fire," said Bill Dwyer, Warren Police Commissioner. "He tried to disguise himself," Dwyer said. "Putting gauze on his face and putting the baseball cap down further."

The bank teller was treated at the scene by paramedics and the bank is now offering a substantial $20,000 reward for information leading to the man's arrest.

"I'm sure there's somebody out there who is aware of who that suspect is," Dwyer said. "And who could collect $20,000 and help out the community and help out this victim."

The suspect is a black male in his 20's wearing gray sweatpants, a black hoodie, a black puffy vest and a blue and gray baseball hat. He wore a glove on his right hand.
