DETROIT (WJBK) - Three children are injured after a hit and run on Detroit's northwest side Wednesday.
One child is hospitalized in serious condition and two are in temporary serious condition from the crash, which happened when the driver blew through a yield sign at Florence and Mark Twain. The children are ages 12, 11 and 6 years old.
The driver, who was inside a silver Chevrolet Impala, struck a Lincoln northbound on Mark Twain, T-boning it, with the children inside. The driver then got out and ran. He is described as a black male with a white shirt and dark Adidas pants.
Police had to use the jaws of life to get one of the children out of the Lincoln.
