Missing Detroit mother, toddlers found safe

UPDATE (12:28 p.m.) -- The mother and children have been found and are safe, Detroit police say.

Detroit police are searching for a missing mother and her one and two-year-old daughters, after they were reported missing Friday night.

Ashley Forehand, 27, was last seen at a gas station in the 8300 block of Woodward Avenue Friday night at approximately 8 p.m. with her children 2-year-old Autum Robinson and 1-year-old Amari Robinson.

The children's father, Demell Robinson, met with Forehand at the gas station to give her food and gas money. Forehand left the location with the children in the vehicle, but never arrived home.

Police say this is not the first time Forehand has been missing.

Forehand is described as a black female, 5-foot 6-inches tall, 150 pounds with red hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, black spandex shorts, and white flip flops.

Forehand suffers from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Autum, the missing 2-year-old, is described as having brown eyes and black braided hair. Amari, the missing 1-year-old is described as having brown eyes and brown curly hair. It is unknown what the children were wearing.

The family was last seen in a black 2006 Jeep Liberty with Michigan license plate #: 1ME E42.
