Grieving family of murdered Clinton Twp couple put up $25K reward

They were found murdered inside their Clinton Township home 10 days ago but still, nobody is in custody.

James and Christy McKeogh  were loved by so many people in their community. Now the family has put up a $25,000 reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest in this case.

"We thought our sister was oversleeping," said Michael Rahal, Christy's sister. "When we opened the garage door we got the shock of our lives."

Reliving their nightmare, the family recalls the moment they discovered Jim, lying in a pool of blood inside his garage.

"Christy's car was in the garage," Rahal said. "That was when we knew she had to be inside."

The couple, found dead from blunt force trauma on Jan.15, may have been killed up to 14 hours before.

With no signs of forced entry their family is worried it was someone they may have known.

"They were just giving, loving people," said Carol Sizemore, sister of Christy. "I can't put into words how devastating this is."

"We can't even think of a suspect or a motive to help the detectives," said Louis Rahal, a brother of Christy. "Because they were so loved by everybody."

Calling the couple best friends and soul mates, honest, and hard-working, the family says they were two of the most beautiful people who opened up their hearts, their homes and their wallets to help anyone in need.

"Someone out there knows the answer," Sizemore said. "We are just begging them to help us."

Ruling their deaths a double homicide, Clinton Township police say Monday they still don't know who would target this couple loved by so many.
