Police, fire uniforms stolen from Detroit dry cleaner recovered

DETROIT (WJBK) - Dozens of police and fire uniforms that were stolen from a Detroit dry cleaner overnight have been recovered.

Perfect Cleaners owner Gary Keflin said earlier the suspects forced entry into the dry cleaner through a window around 3:30 a.m., got the keys and drove off with two delivery vans. Police and fire uniforms from Novi and Farmington Hills departments were inside the vans. 

Farmington Hills Police says the uniforms were found dumped near Outer Drive and Lindsay Street later in the morning on Friday. The uniforms were found in plastic wrap or dry cleaning bags. 

Farmington Hills Police says all of its missing uniforms have been located. It's not known yet if all of Novi's uniforms were there. 

No badges, weapons or other identifying items were taken, that could help someone impersonate an officer. 

We're told one van is a 2012 white GMC Savanah with the license plate CE82871, and the other is a 2015 white Chevy Express with the license plate DB46109. Keflin tells us one of the van's hit a pole when they backed out to drive off, so one van will likely has significant damage to the rear end.
