Two men charged for kidnapping, sexually assaulting multiple women

- Two young men have been identified and charged in connection with several sexual assaults and kidnappings in Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park.

Wayne County prosecutors have charged 22-year-old Aaron Rashard Steward and 19-year-old Quentin Davon Flemons of Detroit with several charges, including criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping. In each incident, police say the defendants attacked a woman on her bicycle and sexually assaulted her.

Two arrested in abduction sexual assaults in Detroit, Hamtramck

The first incident took place at 3 a.m. July 18, 2016 in Highland Park, specifically in the area of Second Avenue and West McNichols. Stewart is accused of pulling a 31-year-old woman off her bicycle, forcing her into an alley, sexually assaulting and robbing her.

Steward was charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, unarmed robbery and stealing/retaining a financial transaction device.

Flemons is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, third-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, unarmed robbery and stealing/retaining a financial transaction device

Both are scheduled to be arraigned by video at 2 p.m. Thursday in 30th District Court in Highland Park.

The second incident happened at 6:21 p.m. Sept. 30 on East Milwaukee near Orleans in Detroit. A 24-year-old Detroit woman was riding her bike when police say she was attacked, forced into a vehicle, robbed and sexually assaulted by Steward and Flemons. She was released and called 911.

Both men were charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, unarmed robbery and stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent. Steward was also charged with receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle.

Steward was arraigned on those charges Oct. 13 in 36th District Court. His probable cause conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Oct. 23 and a preliminary exam at 9 a.m. Oct. 30. He received a $1 million cash/surety bond.

Flemons was arraigned on Oct. 23 in 36th District Court. His probable cause conference is 8:30 a.m. Oct. 30 and his preliminary exam for 9 a.m. Nov. 6. He received a $500,000 cash/surety bond.

The third incident took place at 6:03 a.m. Oct. 8 in Hamtramck in the area of Denton and St. Aubin streets. Police say Steward and Flemons kidnapped a 27-year-old Hamtramck woman riding her bike and forced her into a vehicle. Then she was taken to an abandoned property the 1600 block of Leslie, then assaulted and robbed before she got away.

Steward was charged with kidnapping, assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct, receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle, receiving and concealing a stolen firearm, felony firearm, unarmed robbery, and stealing/retaining a financial transaction device. 

Flemons was charged with kidnapping, assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct, receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle, unarmed robbery, and stealing/retaining a financial transaction device. 

Both will be arraigned by video at 1 p.m. Thursday in 31st District Court in Hamtramck.
