Woman missing after last text message - 'green F-150'

DETROIT (WJBK) - An apartment in the Cass Corridor is the last place Alisha McQueen was seen. She has been missing for more than a week.

The last time anyone heard from her was a bizarre text message sent to her daughter saying "Green F-150." 

"I'm a mess, I just want my sister back and I want answers," said Tanisha, her sister.

Alisha McQueen, a mother of five, has vanished.

"She was just sitting on the couch and I never expected her to leave and never come back," Tanisha said.

They were living together at an apartment complex off Warren near I-94.  Last Wednesday on March 7, McQueen told her daughter she was walking to a gas station a couple blocks away.   

Then an ominous text message came through on her daughter’s phone that said "Green F-150" and that was it.

"She sent that text message - I don't know if she thought she was in danger or what," Tanisha said, adding it is not like her to drop out of contact.

That was the last anyone has heard from the 27-year-old.

Tanisha says that her estranged husband drives a green F-150 pick-up truck.  She told us there was a history of domestic problems between them. 

But Detroit Police has not confirmed that with FOX 2.

"A very dysfunctional marriage," Tanisha said. "There has been abuse, infidelities, just wasn't a good relationship. But they are still legally married.

"My sister was talking about divorce."

Crime Stoppers is trying to help the family get answers, they are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to locating Alisha McQueen.

"Anything would be helpful at this point," Tanisha said. "We are just trying to bring my sister back home."

For now, McQueen's five children are being cared for by family. Tanisha says they want her back home before her 28th birthday coming up in a couple weeks.
