Brave the Shave with St. Baldrick's Foundation

(WJBK) - You can be a hero for kids with cancer with St. Baldrick's Foundation's Brave the Shave event. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

The event is Sunday, May 15 at The Phymouth Roc on Ann Arbor Road in Plymouth. It goes from noon - 5 p.m.

VIDEO: Kelly Badder, Cheyenne Gagnon, Kelly Wadle and her daughter, Aurora, join us on The Nine to tell us why Brave the Shave is so important to them. Kelly Badder and Cheyenne have shaved their heads for St. Baldricks, and Kelly Wadle's daughter, Aurora, is currently in remission.

Kelly also shaved her head when Aurora was first diagnosed with a form of kidney cancer at just 15 months old.

"Hair grows back; our kids don't," she says.

Then, later on in the segment, Aurora's grandmother, Lisa Obenour, joins us, too, to shave her head live on air in support of Aurora. Lisa is a breast cancer survivor herself, too.
