Sunday brunch at The Menagerie in Pontiac

(WJBK) - The Menagerie in Pontiac invites you to join them for Sunday Brunch. No reservation is required, and it runs every Sunday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Items are priced a la carte and are kid-friendly.

THE MENAGERIE'S BANANAS FOSTER SAUCE
2 0z- unsalted butter
1/4c brown sugar
1/4t cinnamon
1 0z-banana liqueur
1 banana sliced
¼ c dark rum
1/2t orange zest

Melt butter in a saute pan, add brown sugar and cinnamon, heat until sugar dissolves.  Add banana liqueur and simmer 1 min.  Add sliced banans and rum.  Flame the rum and cook until flames are gone and the alcohol is cooked out(1 or 2 mins). Stir in orange zest.  Sauce should be syrup consistency. Serve over French toast
