Macy's hosting holiday party ft. 6-year-old Zach of Make-A-Wish Michigan

The magic of Macy's Believe campaign returns for the 10th year to celebrate the season's spirit of generosity and goodwill all while benefiting Make-A-Wish.

Joining FOX 2 is Christy Schulte, communications and public relations manager for Make-A-Wish Michigan.

This year, Macy's Oakland will kick off the season with its 12th annual fireworks show and mini parade. Then Santa will arrive with 6-year-old Zach, a special Make-A-Wish Michigan child from Harrison Township, who wished to go to LEGOLAND. Visitors can take pictures with Santa and enjoy family fun activities like balloon twisting and live music.

It's all happening this Friday at 7 p.m. at Macy's Oakland, 500 W. 14 Mile Road.

Macy's is also pledging to donate $1 up to a $1 million for every letter to Santa they receive through Christmas Eve. Kids and adults of all ages can write a letter to Santa online at Macy.com/believe or drop off a letter to any Macy's store.
