Almost 70 pounds of suspected cocaine seized at Ambassador Bridge


About 67 pounds of suspected cocaine was seized at the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor.

The Canada Border Services Agency and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced the bust today, which consisted of 25 bricks of the suspected coke.

On Sept. 22, two returning residents, a driver and co-driver, were sent for a secondary examination. During the inspection, suspected cocaine was found within the load. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transferred to Royal Mounted Police custody.

Preet Kiran Singh Gill and Suresh Nath Sharma, both from Ontario, were charged with importation of cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
