Armed men robbed Detroit liquor store with shotgun

A liquor on Detroit's west side was locking up for the night when three violent thieves force their way in and rob it at gunpoint.

The store clerk was closing and locking up Crown 7 Liquor Store on 7 Mile on May 30th. It was 2 a.m. when the three men, one carrying a shotgun, forced their way inside.

Cameras were rolling inside the liquor store when they ripped the front door open and knocked the clerk to the ground. She tried in vain to close the security gates to keep them out.

Once inside, we can see the shotgun and a clear look at the face of the man carrying the weapon. Another man dressed in a blue jacket lingers near the front door. Police said he was the lookout as the gunman brought in a third man dressed in gray.

He was also seen clearly on camera and went straight for the register.

The crime lasted just second, all the while the clerk stays still curled up on the ground near the entrance.

She wasn't injured in the robbery but police said the men got away with cash and left the store.

Although some attempt as you saw was made to cover up their faces police are hoping you were able to get a good enough look at them to identify them. You don't have to give your name, just the information. Call 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
