A body of a young woman has been found in the Detroit River near a fishing pier Monday afternoon, according to the Detroit Harbor Master.

A 26-year-old Southfield woman had gone missing this past weekend, causing police and sheriff dive teams to search for her. The Detroit Police Underwater Recovery and Diving Team found the body today.

Investigators have not confirmed if it is Destini Smith who had gone missing Saturday after jumping off the back of a boat. She was with a group of people who were swimming in the area when a current dragged their boat away.
