Gas prices below $2 a gallon around metro Detroit

(WJBK) - Several gas stations around metro Detroit have prices below $2 a gallon this morning. Just about three months ago, the refinery issue at a plant in Whiting, Ind. caused prices to spike upwards of $3 a gallon.

Now, not every station has this price. FOX 2's Roop Raj did the work for us, though, via the app GasBuddy. Here's the five cheapest stations he found so far in the metro area.

- $1.75 at the BP station at Michigan Ave. and Mason
- $1.75 at the Admiral station Wayne Road and Florence
- $1.75 at the Bp Station at Michigan Avenue and Greenfield
- $1.77 at the Citgo station at Ford Road and N. Gulley
- $1.77 at the Valero station at Greenfield Road and Plymouth
