iPawn owner accused of selling stolen goods released on bond, returns to work

The owner of iPawn Gasswan Gargis, 38,  is out on bond and back at work.

Gargis along with a 20-year-old employee were arrested, charged with 13 felonies including organized retail fraud and receiving and concealing stolen property.

FOX 2 was there back in June when the store along with a storage shed and his home was raided by Canton Police and Michigan State Police.

The results of the raid according to police were $300,000 in new electronics, appliances, and power tools that Garvis allegedly stole from big box retailers.

The scope of the alleged crime surprises customers FOX 2 spoke with.

"I think that's crazy," said one customer.

FOX 2 tried to get the owner's thoughts on the charges, but it was hard to hear what he had to say on the other side of the closed door.

The Wayne County Prosecutor said this case should serve notice that wide scale sales of stolen goods will not be tolerated.

Gargis is expected back in court on August 8.
