Man arrested after mother run down in Mt. Clemens

Authorities have arrested a man in connection with the death of a young mother who was killed outside her home in Mount Clemens.

Twenty-seven-year-old Julie Williamson was run over by a vehicle earlier in July of 2016. She was briefly placed on life support but did not survive her injuries.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's office says Michael Rosenmund, 39, or Mt. Clemens has been charged in connection with Williamson's death. The two lived together.

Rosenmund is charged with Reckless Driving Causing Death, and Manslaughter with a Motor Vehicle. Both are 15-year felonies.

Williamson's body was found unclothes and unresponsive in the front yard of their home. According to police and prosecutors, Williamson's physical injuries show that she had been struck or dragged by Rosenmund's pickup truck. Authorities believe they had an argument beforehand.

Julie's family has maintained from the beginning that she was killed in an act of domestic violence. She has two children.

For those interested in making a donation, Julie's family has set up a GoFundMe account to help her surviving children. You can get more information here

Rosenmund is expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.
