Man shot inside Greektown Hotel elevator
Detroit, MI (WJBK) - Saturday approximately 4:07 a.m., a man in his 20's was shot at the Greektown Hotel located in the 1200 block of St. Antoine.
The victim and suspect were inside of a hotel room on the 9th floor, when an argument ensued resulting in a physical altercation.
The altercation spilled out onto the floor and continued into an elevator. Once inside of the elevator, the male suspect produced a handgun and fired a shot at the victim, striking him in the body.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect, a 28-year-old male, was taken into custody and transported to the Detroit Detention Center.
The incident is still being investigated, however police say it does not appear to be random.
