Melvindale police are searching for a wanted man. Officers say Billy Marsee is wanted in connection with several break-ins and has a violent past.

Police had a sighting of Marsee earlier Sunday evening at a bar in Lincoln Park, where police say he was getting into a physical altercation with another customer at the bar but when police arrived they missed him.

Marsee is wanted as a parole absconder, in connection with a few breaking and entering and car break-ins in the Melvindale area in the past weeks.

He is to be treated as armed and dangerous, he has previously served time for resisting arrest on weapons charges and home invasions. Police are extremely concerned with this guy considering he did try to fight police before.

Police are preparing for some kind of fight once he is located.

"Unfortunately one of the most recent homes he broke into he obtained a bullet proof vest and ammunition and we got some tips he's armed with a handgun so certainly if anyone from the public sees him we don't want anyone making contact with him we would like them to call us immediately he is to be treated as possibly armed and dangerous," Sgt Matt Furman said.

Police say he is a known drug user on drugs, believed to be on methamphetamine, and that he's getting desperate.

If you see Billy Marsee or have information on where he might be, you are asked to call 911 immediately and consider him armed and dangerous.
