Police asking for help finding suspect who killed 31-year-old woman jogging

ROSE TWP., Mich. (WJBK) - A 31-year-old woman is shot and killed in northern Oakland County and police are asking for help finding the suspect.

Investigators are continuing to work toward an arrest.

The woman has been identified but her name has not been publicly released. 

She was jogging on the 11000 block of Fish Lake Road in Rose Township.

She was discovered unconscious in the front yard of a home and later pronounced dead at a hospital.

"We'll start working what's known as victimology -- everything about her to see who her friends are, who she's dated, everybody in her past, and look at that to see if we can develop a suspect," Lt. Michael Shaw said.

State police are asking the public for help.

Anyone who saw a white or light-colored four-door sedan on Fish Lake Road between 2 and 3 p.m. Saturday should call them.

The driver might have been acting suspicious and possibly traveling at a high rate of speed.
