Police: Man killed in hit-and-run in Waterford

WATERFORD, Mich. (WJBK) - A 53-year-old homeless man was killed in a hit-and-run crash Friday evening in Waterford Township.

The victim has been identified as Timothy Guy Pressnell.

The Pontiac resident was killed when he was struck in the left lane by an unknown vehicle as he attempting to cross Telegraph Road.

A witness described the vehicle as an older model Red SUV.

Police say the man was not crossing in a crosswalk.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and later transported to the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office.

The suspect vehicle is possibly a Red 1998-2001 GMC Jimmy or Oldsmobile Bravada with left front headlight damage.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for assistance with information on the crash, including identifying the responsible vehicle and driver.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. There is a $1,000 cash reward.
