Police officer injured in fatal shooting of suspect near Fairlane mall

DEARBORN, Mich. (WJBK) - Dearborn police and mall security chased the woman to Hubbard Drive and the Southfield freeway, where they were able to get her to stop her vehicle.

A witness told FOX 2 the driver refused to get out of the vehicle when surrounded by police. 

"I don't know if the vehicle moved forward, but at that point the officer shot at the vehicle," he said.

The witness said the car then moved forward toward the officer before coming to stop.

A Chevrolet HHR could be seen with three bullet holes in the windshield and a front side door window shot out.
