Shooter on the run after man killed, woman injured in Monroe Tuesday night

Police in Monroe are searching for a man they say shot two people, killing one, at a home in Monroe Tuesday night.

Monroe Police were called to the 300 block of Kentucky Ave around 8 p.m. Tuesday to a reported gunshots called. When they arrived, officers found two adults had been shot.

Officers tried to save one of the victims, a man, but he died at the scene. The other victim, a woman, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

When detectives arrived to investigate, it was determined some kind of an altercation took place at the home but the exact nature was not known.

Police tell FOX 2 they have a possible suspect but would not elaborate on the person's name or description.
