Suspect killed in officer-involved shooting at Detroit hotel

Police in Detroit are investigating an officer-involved shooting that ended with an armed robbery suspect dead at a hotel Wednesday morning.

Police were called to Victory Inn on Telegraph between Six and Seven Mile around 10:00 Wednesday morning.

According to Detroit Police, they tracked down an armed robbery suspect to that hotel. When they knocked on the door of one of the rooms, they said a man holding a knife opened the door.

When he would not put the knife down, two police officers fired at him and killed him. 

Detroit Police, Michigan Department of Corrections, and Farmington Hills Police officers are all at the hotel. It's unknown who fired the shot at this time but Detroit Police said they are conducting a homicide investigation.

No officers were injured in the shooting.
