Suspect & victim in Burlington shooting argued over marking down merchandise

An employee at a Burlington store in Taylor shot and killed her coworker early Monday morning. According to the fiancé of the suspected shooter, the two women got into an argument in the past over how to mark down merchandise.

Police say the shooting took place around 7 a.m. at the store on Eureka Road.

They say a female worker shot and killed another female employee.

According to police on the scene, the fiancé of the woman believed to have fired those shots says managers at the store were aware of a conflict the two had over how to markdown merchandise.

"The supervisors sent them both home so I'm quite sure if they were sent home for the same problem, they should know it wasn't right for them be working together," the fiancé said.

A motive for the shooting has not been offered by police.
